Due to technological advancements, the design process has undergone fundamental changes, so the role of unpredictability and intuition in the creative process is reduced. When creating the SCLPT Bench, Onno embraced and showcased the craft of sculpture. Parts that were once rectangular foam blocks were carved into shape. He did not use machines but removed pieces bit by bit, leaving the choices clearly visible, and discovered the final form of the bench.

The Magma series was born from Onno's desire to transform the aesthetics of dyeing into a combination of metal and wood. By deliberately using various acids and technical oxidation, it creates beautiful patterns and color gradients that can appear on metals such as brass and copper. Inspired by the lava beneath the earth's crust, it is named 'Magma.' The core of this collection seems to be in motion due to its rich color gradients and is only wrapped in a thin layer.

The "Clay Discs" are a series of wall-mounted objects inspired by the unique patterns found in drying soil. Cracks in clay soil occur when wet, muddy deposits dry and contract. Tension arises when the surface layer shrinks while the underlying material remains the same size, resulting in characteristic fissures. As the tension continues to build, the edges begin to curl.

A set of sturdy furniture begins with a pine chair, built using standardized construction beams. By stacking and combining these modules, unexpectedly dynamic designs are born, breaking free from the constraints of traditional design.
Although they are standardized in size and widely available, it’s easy to forget that each beam once stood like a tree in the forest. The soft, rounded edges highlight the wood grain, revealing the material's natural origin.

Dawn is a collection of solid wood furniture that embodies the serenity of early morning. It is entirely a combination of pure oak and gradual color variations. The oak starts with a calm, dark hue and gradually transforms into a translucent surface. This combination creates a captivating play of color and transparency that draws the eye.

This is an inspiration drawn from climbing plants and their ability to cover entire surfaces, or to grow several meters high by winding around trees or other objects. Ivy (Hedera) is a fast-growing, globally widespread woody plant that perfectly embodies this concept. Its young shoots are slender and flexible, equipped with roots that attach to surfaces, while the mature branches become sturdy, self-supporting, and rootless.

The "Fossil" series is inspired by the shapes and textures of fossils in rocks. Fossil forms are no longer presented as static remnants but are re-situated within the base, creating new visual compositions. This transformation turns each piece into a unique object, highlighting both natural structures and the artist's intervention. The collection explores the relationship between nature and design, demonstrating how ancient forms can be recontextualized in contemporary ways.
