The name of the Yumi daybed comes from the traditional Japanese bow, whose asymmetrical shape inspired its elegant curved design. The manufacturing process combines a curved solid wood structure with veneer panels, embodying this bow concept. This structure allows upholsterers to seamlessly apply foam, shaping Yumi's distinctive form. The resulting unique, winding structure, formed in one piece, provides warmth and comfort.

Interior architect and designer Lauren Barbier Tadrou and stage designer and designer Romain Jourdan met on their first project designing a luxury residence in France. Their collaboration was smooth and dynamic, both different and complementary. Their shared artistic perception led them to spontaneously found their own interior architecture and design agency, Studioparisien, in 2013. There, they developed a unique language, where refined aesthetics and precious brutalism stand side by side, and soft geometric structures resonate in tension with the curves of volume. With a shared desire, they design expressive, elegant, and modern spaces that celebrate the value of exquisite craftsmanship.
